Broadford Park is a family oriented park owned by the Town of Oakland. The park offers a lake, picnic and beach areas, volleyball, basketball, boat launch, boat and pavilion rentals. The park also hosts events through the year such as the annual Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd with a beautiful Fireworks display for the Town, the Lions Club Redneck Dayz, and the occasional music concert.
We have only accept reservations during the current calendar year. If you want a reservation for the following year, we begin taking them on January 2 of that year. Please contact Oakland City Hall for pavilion availability, pricing, and reservations, at 301-334-2691.
Season passes go on sale yearly generally in the of beginning May. Please stop by Oakland City Hall, 15 South Third Street, Oakland to purchase your season pass.
Broadford Park will officially open Memorial Day weekend and closes Labor Day weekend. The Mayor and Town Council of Oakland invite you to come out to Broadford Recreation area and enjoy a day of relaxation with your family.

DEEP CREEK STATE PARK
Deep Creek Lake State Park, which features Maryland's largest man-made lake, offers opportunities to camp, fish, swim and launch your boat in Garrett County. Popular picnic areas offer views of the lake and beach areas. Make sure to visit the parks Discovery Center, which showcases hands-on exhibits for families to learn about Western Maryland's wildlife, culture, and historical heritage that have turned this former logging and coal mining region into a popular modern day vacation destination.
